5 Ways To Improve Your Business Card

Business Cards. Everyone has them… but not everyone uses them!

Let’s face it, when you have a pile of business cards in front of you, I’m willing to bet most of them end up in the bin.

The same is true for your own business card. You spend your hard-earned money on printing and design costs…yet the annoying reality is unless someone has a compelling reason to keep your card, it too will end up being thrown away!

So here’s 5 ways to ensure your business card becomes a keeper and doesn’t end up in the bin!

  1. Add your photo so people recognise you instantly
  2. Replace your role with a headline that clearly explains what you do and how you help people
  3. Include a soft call to action which encourages people to opt-in to your list or add a QR code with a link to a special offer or a valuable piece of content
  4. Think quality – invest in using thicker card (at least 650gsm)
  5. Fix boring – make cards an extension of your personality by playing with colours, fonts and illustrations and a bigger or a different shape to traditional business cards
